This is a very interesting thread.  I always wondered why there were so many insta-fanboys coming out of the woodwork for the Wii.  If these people love Nintendo so much, where were they during the "tough times" of the N64 and GC?  There are those of us who've stuck by Nintendo since the beginning.  The bandwagon jumpers missed out on some fantastic games on the N64 and GC.

Sadly, the games on the Wii appealed more to me on the Ps3. (and I was a die hard Sony fan.) I mean, just because I was a Sony fan, doesn't mean I could stick with Sony for life. The Ps3, was bought in Feb 07, before I got the Wii.

At first, I thought the Wii would fail honestly. (plz don't flame me.) That changed though once I played Zelda with motion controls and Wii sports. It's also my 1st Nintendo console I've ever owned.

I have some very distinct criteria for choosing games on the Wii vs. the PS3.  I'm looking for totally different experiences.

From Nintendo I've had a NES, SNES, Virtual Boy (yeah even that), N64, GBC, GBA and Wii (soon to buy a DS).

From other companies I've had a Game Gear, PS1, Deamcast, PS2 and PS3.

I've never regretted buying a console (except the Virtual Boy) and I'm glad I skipped the GC. PS2 just had better games and more variety, I only regret not playing a couple of GC games but I focused on my PS2 and I'm very pleased. Now that I have a Wii maybe I'll get some of the GC games I've missed.

I bought the Wii because Nintendo is really innovating in this industry, if I have casual visitors at home I'm pretty sure they wouldn't like to play with my PS3. With Wii Sports, Brawl and Kart I know I'll have a lot of fun myself and with friends, and single player games on the Wii are also some of the best this gen, so I think the Wii should be bought by everyone this generation...

Kurakasa, you can go under your bridge. We didn't need you at all here.

That was purely meant to troll and nothing else. (i noticed this when you stated that the 3rd party offerings are nothing better that the Wii 1st party offerings which are without a doubt the best offerings of this gen so far.)

I mean, I could also get on the 360 and it's dwindling popularity and how it's popularity is shrinking compared to the other 2. Man, dumb Xbot.

most likely reason is probably so they can play wii games!

Aside from the obvious titles like Super Mario Sunshine and Zelda Wind Waker, don't miss out on Star Wars Rogue Leader for the Gamecube.  Probably my favorite Star Wars game.

Because its not Gamecube?!?!

Currently Playing:

PS4 - Killzone:SF and Assasins Creed 4

XBox One: BF4, CoD:Ghosts, Dead Rising 3, Forza 5

Changing channels with my voice: priceless!!!

I made a mistake in my 1st post. I meant to say that the Wii games appealed more to me "than on" the Ps3. (i am typing from my Wii so I can't edit the post.)

To add to that, the Wii seems to become one of my best systems ever honestly. (catching the Ps1 in quality imo.) It has millions of years ahead in order to catch the Ps2 in quality. (something that I think no console this gen could possibly do honestly.)
