From Nintendo I've had a NES, SNES, Virtual Boy (yeah even that), N64, GBC, GBA and Wii (soon to buy a DS).

From other companies I've had a Game Gear, PS1, Deamcast, PS2 and PS3.

I've never regretted buying a console (except the Virtual Boy) and I'm glad I skipped the GC. PS2 just had better games and more variety, I only regret not playing a couple of GC games but I focused on my PS2 and I'm very pleased. Now that I have a Wii maybe I'll get some of the GC games I've missed.

I bought the Wii because Nintendo is really innovating in this industry, if I have casual visitors at home I'm pretty sure they wouldn't like to play with my PS3. With Wii Sports, Brawl and Kart I know I'll have a lot of fun myself and with friends, and single player games on the Wii are also some of the best this gen, so I think the Wii should be bought by everyone this generation...

Aside from the obvious titles like Super Mario Sunshine and Zelda Wind Waker, don't miss out on Star Wars Rogue Leader for the Gamecube.  Probably my favorite Star Wars game.

Keep this in mind when reading what I type...

I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.
