Forums - Nintendo - What are your thoughts on The legend of Zelda: Valley of the Deluge?

The Legend of Zelda: The Immortal Fairy is a name I came up with a few months ago.

Here's another: The Legend of Zelda: The Triforce Relics

Also, I won't bother to read it since it is obviously fake. It does not look professional and you provide no source.

then why bother posting in the tread? i want to know what you people think of the concept, not if it's real or not.

>Eiji Aonuma: [laughs] I admit it is rare that share information this early, but I convinced Iwata-san that your writers were trustworthy enough to keep our conversation here confidential until Project Deluge is announced at the expo.

>Kyle: In that case, I can assure you the interview here will remain secret until July.

>Aonuma: Good. Should we discuss the game then?

Those three lines are major bullshit so it shouldnt even be discussed.
Not bashing you dude its just the "interview" is crap.

Fake... not even read a bit

-_- i completely agree with you, i believe that the interview is fake as well. All i want to know is what you people think of the concept, if your not going to bother to read it, then please don't post in the thread.

I think the concept is far to fan service. The concepts won't mix well. Link is mute for an emotional attachment to the players. Even with TP being the last of the classic designs an insane "Link" that talks won't provide that.

A real time flooding will annoy the "everyone" player to much.

I would like a Steam Punk Zelda though. That would be cool.

Anyway read your post and commented on concept. 100% fake though.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

I think its a good concept/idea on the surface, but i don't think the completed game would offer the right zelda feel for me

I think it would be an interesting diversion from the regular lore of Zelda and if they screw it up then it's just one bad zelda game, but if they made it work it could be epic.

...

sounds an interesting concept and a good way to get Zelda talking without upsetting zelda fans as it's a digression of the series and they wouldn't call it Zelda though.

Cant see it happening though - Zelda is the one series that never got milked and Nintendo love their variety in their games.

You broke rule # 32 - Never trust anyone named Kyle.

As for the concept, no one has really given a crap about covering gaps between games, as they all are designed to work independently. Miyamoto said that each character is named Link, but is like a generational Link, not the same character with the same experiences. Also, as per the "conversation" you posted, Miyamoto would never have a zelda game without Link as the main character. Why? Because Link is Miyamoto's fountain of youth. Link keeps him young at heart. A zelda game without Link is like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich sans jelly.

Also, I think some considerations will have to be taken with the title, as there have been major catastrophies in Asia and the US regarding floods. Would be like putting out a game called "building bombers" after 9/11.

It sounds "sort-of" interesting - its different enough, and could work on some levels. Not sure if "modern Hyrule" & "flooding" are enough keypoints to game a Zelda game interesting.

(its almost certainly fake though - why would you give an "interview", when you DON'T want it to be published? Why not wait until you DO want it to be published?)

...

I (personally) still want to see a heavy use of magic in the new Zelda, and would love for there to be *some* form of RPG component (i.e. experience).
