I downloaded it from the store and when i started it up, instead of automatically downloading 4.00, it just started the game so now i can't unlock Trophies. The version of the game is 3.00. Has anyone had this problem or know how to solve it?

From being on these, and the playstation forums, i have learnt that people who downloaded Super Stardust HD AFTER 2.40 was pulled on July 2nd wont be able to download 4.00. Everyone who downloaded it AFTER have not been able to install patch 4.00 and it is unlikely that the actual game has an error so hopefully 2.40 will be back up soon and we can all become Trophy Whores :)

about 3 hours ago i downloaded the demo yesterday and that installed the 4.00 update but apparently that guy says they removed the patch

hmm that's odd. I downloaded Super Stardust HD last night (after they pulled 2.40 I think). I'm not sure which version was installed, but no additional patch needed to be downloaded and installed. I was able to earn trophies though.

if u downloaded before 2.40 was pulled then i can see why u could still download 4.00 for it. although if it was after its either the patch was removed at a later time or something about my copy is up. u can check the version by looking at the information on the game. also how large was your download because version 4.00 is around 250MB itself???

I'm not at home, so I can't check the version right away. The DL was about 250MB though. Have you tried to earn some trophies with your version?

yeah i've tried to earn a few and some like just completing a level wont even be rewarded thats what made me realise. My DL was only around 190MB but i think its most likely the fact update 2.40 was pulled. Downloading 4.00 could cause problems on users PS3's that are a lower firmware than 2.40 so its logical. I've e-mailed sony anyway so should get a reply tomorrow. Just hope they get the patch up soon the main reason i bought the game was for the trophies but it is actually an addictive game how've you found the game so far?

I downloaded the demo a few months back and wasn't very impressed. After it gained trophy support I thought I'd give it a second chance, so I bought the full game. Having spent more time with it I agree it's actually quite addictive and fun. I've only earned two trophies so far, but I'll be working on earning more tonight.
