Looks like 4 PS2 titles, 1 PSP title, nothing for the 360, 3 for the Wii, and 22 for the NDS. I figured Gears of War would have reappeared on the top 30 once stores had some stock again but I have to wonder if its just not selling much anymore. Looking forward to seeing the hardware sales but I am guessing its going to be another big week for Nintendo.

crappy old school NES games are more entertaining than next-gen games.

If you notice they all dropped.

No chance of that. That really seems to be the difference between DS and other titles these days - DS titles have serious legs, where most other titles are lucky to spend 2 weeks in the charts.

I hope Nintendo is finally addressing the severe rarity of the Wii in North America and finally diverting manufacturing capabilities from the Japanese market to here after the loving Nippon got back in December.

Weak sales for all the plattforms ,excepting the DS and maybe the PSP (not so strong sales but still ahead of the 25K average weekly of last year ) .....Wii is doing very well but losing each week sales ....PS3 is doing quite bad and losing sales each week ...X360 horrendous as nearly ever there and losing sales each week . The 2 ,3 and 4th weeks of January are usually a one of the lower points for the year ....I expect the sales for next weeks to improve significantly .If games as Mist of Chaos ,Virtua Fighter 5 ,Virtua Tennis 3 and Gundam Mussou cant lift the PS3 sales above 70K again then we should start worryying about the machine and SOny making some decisiones (price cut principally )

We'll have to wait for more concrete numbers but evidently VF5 isn't selling to well on PS3 in Japan. I find tha suprising to be honest. Of course the reports from Japan could be erroneous. We will just have to wait for next weeks Media Crate sales numbers.

What do you see the weekly rates averaging at this year? I think the DS will be around 100,000...skewed heavily by the release of DQ IX later. Wii can average 70,000 or so I think. Wii Sports, Wii Play, will sell early on, then Mario will be a boost. I think Animal Crossing Wii could be huge, as could DDR Wii. I think Dragon Quest Swords on Wii will have a massive effect on sales too. I think the Wii and DS have a bunch of mini hits this year, games that sell like 300k. I expect music and excercise Wii games at some point..but who knows if they will sell and/or come out this year. PS3 will average around 30,000 a week I think. MGS4 is the killer app. Other games are just 'little elevators', temporary kicking the weekly sales up to like 50-60k. VF5 I think will boost sales by 5 or 10k for a little while. 360 will sell between 2-10k every week. PS2 should outsell PS3 a couple of times until like the second quarter (Apr-Jun), then it will have like 360 sales.
