Forums - General - Trying to break the lurking pattern

Hello, everybody. I joined this site back in March, but i had being lurking for several months in advance. I posted a little bit and then about 3 months ago, my computer went KAPUT and it took one week to get it fixed. And I dont know what happened to me but i simply stopped posting here.

However, i went back to lurking everyday and never posting (not even logging in). Here are some of the reasons i think why:

I type too slow, so it takes a while to post (i´m not used to posting in forums this is first forum i actually post in) so i get kinda lazy about posting;

I dont know much about sales so i dont wanna end up saying something stupid (and i´m really enjoying the news section - TheSource does amazing breakdowns  - very much and ;

I feel that posting just to say LOL would be kinda silly (not if i posted regularly, but to post just once in a day and post LOL is pretty ridiculous - i hope i´m not offending anyone).

But now i´m gonna try to make an effort to contribute something to this site (even if its just "LOL" or "great analysis, TheSource") and i would like to hear from other members who share (or shared) some of my reasons or have reasons of their own and, who nows, maybe others lurkers can come forward an join this great community.

Good to see lurkers post more often. Get your feet wet. Rub elbows with us. Most of us don't bite.

LOL!

Nah, just kidding. Welcome, even though you've been here for a while. Hope you'll enjoy actively participating. :) Good luck!

Thanks for the quick replies. I will keep participating.

Hmm... I only seem to have an average of 3 posts a day, I'm sure I do post more than that, though.

I'm still a part-time lurker, it's because of timezones, by the time I get to log onto the forums, all of my points have already been taken in threads.

@reask - Actually i´m more concerned with my typing speed. As for skill, english isn´t my first language (i´m brazilian), but i think i do ok.

Don't Worry... We all don't know anything about sales and we say stupid things all the time.. it doesn't matter.. :) All that matters is that you love videogames..

@SamuelRSmith - Thats a good point. You try to post, but someone else came first and said pretty much what you would say so you dont feel like repeating.

P.S. - Do you agree with that Castro quote? Because, except from Africa ( because of all the civil wars and dictatorships), capitalism has been very good for certain parts of Asia and Latin America. There is still a long way to go, but they are certainly better then before.

@ nikkom - i do love videogames. i wish i could live in the USA where there is a bigger, cheaper market for me to enjoy.
