I agree with the OP. I'm among the most casual gamers on this forum and I like the Wii. Ask anyone about it.

I like how people argue both of these at the same time:

A) Wii is not for hardcore at all.

and

B) VGC is biased towards Nintendo.

without then concluding:

C) VGC is for casuals only and we're all casuals spending hours every day debating our casual games, systems, and sales.

I like how only two points in the OP are debatable while the rest are not, lol.

Edit: btw, I'm not saying the PS3 doesn;t have a good selection of games, it does, and it ahs a reasonable variety of genres represented. (though FPS and TPS seem be dominating a little too much this year...) That being said, a lot of the OP's statements about the other two consoles are not accurate at all.

i completely agree, its a well around console, you have great multiplatforms (GTAIV, GRID) great puzzles (Echochrome) good PSN titles, all around media hub. Its just nice :)

Most of the games on your list are either not out or not even announced.

WHO GIVES A SHIT ABOUT LABELING GAMES 'CASUAL' OR 'HARDCORE'. IT'S ALL BULLSHIT.

1. Little Big Planet will be a million seller. This game appeals to a very wide audience with its gameplay because of it iss simple, easy to learn, and fun. PERFECT CASUAL GAME.

Rubang: One or a couple casual games does not a casual system make. Ask Microsoft. Both MS and Sony WISH they could go as casual as Nintendo. They're missing out on the real cash. The system doesn't have the casual appeal (marketing) (or price point) that Wii and DS have and PS2 had.

2. It has THE best racing simulator (we all know what it is).

Rubang: Casual as hell. But see point 1.

3. Jak and Dexter, Ratchet and Clank, and Sly Cooper are all very popular platformers, which will sell at least a million a piece.

Rubang: Are you arguing that platformers as a whole are all casual or something?

4. Debatable: It has THE best action/adventure franchise: God of War series.

Rubang: Wrong as hell. Button-masher with tits. Also casual, but see point 1.

5. It has THE best RPGs: Final Fantasy series/maybe kingdom hearts

Rubang: The DS has a billion RPGs and is getting more every week. FF13 is coming out on the PS3 in 20 years. Your other game was a maybe, not a good argument.

6. It has one of the most popular fighting franchises: Tekken series

Rubang: Also irrelevant. You're just listing games now. I can't tell if you're calling Tekken casual or not. It doesn't matter either way though. See point 1.

7. Has the best off-road series: Motorstorm.

Rubang: Off-road is a genre now?

8. Of course we all know that the Metal Gear Series is the best for stealth/action.

Rubang: Is stealth a genre or a gameplay mechanic?

9. Shooters: Killzone 2, Resistance 2, and Socom are all very popular games that will sell well.

Rubang: Congratulations. You're getting some games you'll like. I'm happy for you.

10. Debatable: best baseball game: MLB 08

Rubang: Baseball games, winning the console wars as usual!
