the DS is tiny enough, I used to play with my neighbor's but it is so damned small it makes my hands hurt. Do they not expect any adult to play with these?
I think there is going to be new hardware announced but I don't think it will be a new system.
Either a Hard Drive
( For the Core).
OR
A new Periphial.
(There was talk of a device that monited the heart or a pedometer at many points in the past). (For the Casual)
On the DS front I think all they will do is release a Square Enix styled DS.

- I talked to some sources and at least one of them is fairly certain Nintendo will, in fact, reveal a new DS model at e3. No DS2, though - something along the lines of a "DS Micro" (meaning a third model of the same handhled, just like what Nintendo did with the GBA). I´m not 100% sure he´s right but he gave me some very accurate predictions in the past. - It looks like Jacob talked to his own sources (although I didn´t ask him yet) for his predictions, which makes the rumour even more valid. - One of my sources predicted a "Mii-like avatar system and a motion sensing controller" for the Xbox 360 - the avatars (apparently) came true already. This source also said it is "highly likely" that Nintendo will reveal either a new DS or Wii model at e3. - Apparently Famitsu will reveal 5 new DS RPGs and 1 for the Wii which are highly likely to be released late 2008 in Japan and the Wii one has no official confirmation but it is suspect to be Kingdom Hearts 3. Square Enix develops Chrono Trigger for the Dual Screen and Dragon Quest IX is also set to see a late 2008 release. Additionally, Nintendo didn´t announce any major DS games in months. If (!) Nintendo is to show a new DS model at e3 and announces a late 2008 release date this would pretty much fall in line with the releases of several major DS titles. (Remember: If Nintendo develops a new DS model, Square Enix is most likely the first company to be told because of their major Dragon Quest title) Remember, though, this is not official and won´t necessarily come true. It´s just what some of my sources told me. |

Hmm... I could see it happening. They could make it slimmer and make better shoulder buttons and D-pad, both of which need improving. A better start/select button, though not vital, would be nice.
i doubt that they'll announce a new ds at E3. Didn't Europe just get three new colours in June?

I believe Nintendo will unveil a disruptive software at E3 for DS.

I think there's nothing wrong with the DSL as it is. I for one hope Nintendo doesn't update it, although that is against their track record.
I remember in my DSL box there were two styluses (EU at least?). I've always wondered what a dual-stylus controlled game would be like, if it was possible.
*EBA2 fantasy comes to mind*
Hell, if I had the talent and licences for decent tunes I'd make that game myself and make GAZILLIONS of £££.
