i'm not even gonna continue this.  This is my last post on this.  If you don't think 19k is supply constrained then fine, but it's not a baseless assumption that a second shipment didn't come, it actually happens all the time.  If you mean that i can't prove it that is is baseless then you're right just not using the right word.  Considering that it happens sometimes it's fair to leave the possibility open that it could have happened.

I'm gonna wait for Media Create first even though i think it will be around the same. Disappointing, kinda... i expected more.

wow, i just noticed that now. That's shocking that Derby Stallion didn't outsell TOS. Perhaps it has a much more hardcore group than i thought.

Looks like Wii is not the best platform for HardCore games sales.. =)
With a BIGGER userbase in Japan, ToS2 sold less.. then previous game on GC.

18-20k for ps3, not bad compared to 8-10k before MGS4. =)

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.


Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

And with that 60K Wii has sold over 500,000 units this week. Incredible indeed.

Beyond that, there's some good numbers all around software wise. Congrats of ToS, here's hoping for continued success (if not, I don't want to see Soriku's wrath upon unwary fools).

Nice boost for the Wii hardware, ToS is pretty frontloaded though :(

Looks like Wii sales of ToS2 are taking a few pages from the Playstation 3 handbook, eh?

Good to see that ToS2 gave the Wii a hardware bump. The Wii is well behind last year's YTD sales, so this bump is good.

Nice to see 2 X360 games in the J top 30. One of the few weeks it happens. Nice HW bump too.

ToS2 will probably have better legs though... and end up outselling ToS.
