It deserves good sales it is a really good game.

off topic is halo wars going to be online only or is it both.

Yes there will be a single player campign. It'll also have 2 player online coop as well as a maximum of 6 players in one online match. Also the devs made a comment that it may also ship it's own map editor in the original game so that players can create their own maps and mini campaigns. All this is found from http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Halo_Wars

good going for bungie and halo 3, it is one of the best shooters this gen and the sales prove it.

wow now theres gonna be a lot of twelve year olds, about 8 million, jumping on XBL dropping N-bombs more frequently now. I bet everyone can't wait for that

Luckily there is a handy and idiot-proof mute system. But seriously I don't know how people could act like that. It amazes me.

I was never interested in the Halo series (although I own an Xbox), but the sales are very impressive!

Remember when many members predicted that SMG's lifetime sales will be bigger than Halo 3's?
I was not sure then, but I doubt it now. More than 30 weeks after release both games have very steady weekly sales, but Halo 3 is still 1.3 mill ahead.

Awesome, but does anyone think that a motion controller similar to the Wiis two handed gun would be *FANTASTIC* for this game? I mean you can do Shooting, jumping, Melee and reloading with the motion controls and the feel of the gun in your hands with properly implemented rumble just makes me near orgasm with the thought of it.

It would be better than RE4 Wii, because the whole style of the game just suits motion controls so well! No offense to the Wii of course, its just that the game just screams motion control! :D

I actually thought of that idea with my friends. For example, you could use two Wii Zappers (one in each hand) as dual-wielded SMGs. If you melee someone, you just flick the zapper, or you want to throw a grenade you make a throwing motion. There are quite a few possibilities.

The problem is that it would probably offer few advantages besides shooting, and even then you would find it so random if someone suddenly jumped above your heading. Have you tried turning around with the Wiimote? Tough!

gears of war is no that great... i hated it the controls were the worst ive ever seen

halo kills GOW in everyway inculding sales.

OT: good for halo

If Gears had the worst controls you've ever seen, you don't play many shooters.

Personally, I thought Gears' controls were spot-on and wonderful.

They were good but I didn't find them that good.  Not as good as FPS on PC certainly and the cover system certainly wasn't flawless... GoW2 I think will really deliver spot on controls for the type of game GoW is as they tighten up the little flaws that sometimes reared their head in GoW.

For obvious reasons, I don't include PC controls when I'm talking about whether a console shooter has good or bad controls.

Im not sure if you were including halo 3 in your comments if you were I am surprised you thought it was just ok.

as for gears I have to disagree on your comments having played the game on the 360.

it is still one of my favourite games of all time.
