gears of war is no that great... i hated it the controls were the worst ive ever seen

If Gears had the worst controls you've ever seen, you don't play many shooters.

Personally, I thought Gears' controls were spot-on and wonderful.

It is just a matter of opinion. But i am glad you love halo and not a Halo/Bungie hater like some people (*COUGH* ROCK ON 2008!!!). Halo is great!!! i like the forge ability, but gears of war, when you chainsawing someone into pieces...PRICELESS.

Good news for Halo 3, I shall celebrate this by playing the game tonight.

I heard that Halo 4 is supposed to be released with the new Xbox next year in the fall of '09. That would be awesome! 8 mil. is a great achievement.

I can see Halo 3 reaching up to at least 16 million at the end of the 360's life if there are price cuts for the system and the game as well.

I think we might see Halo Chronicles (or whatever the name of Peter Jackson's project is) sometime in the next 12-18 months but it's unlikely we will see Halo 4 (personally, I'm hoping they retire the main franchise but that ain't gonna happen).

Gears of War AND Halo are great franchises.

What do you think, would there be a real effect, if the game would be classic for $19.99?

They were good but I didn't find them that good.  Not as good as FPS on PC certainly and the cover system certainly wasn't flawless... GoW2 I think will really deliver spot on controls for the type of game GoW is as they tighten up the little flaws that sometimes reared their head in GoW.
