That's a good point.  You shouldn't switch positions, you should just get inserted above the one you beat.

no, because people will lose their position without playing...not fair.

But is it fair for you to suddenly be below someone you just beat?  All of a sudden you have to beat the same exact person again since you can't challenge the person you just lost to.  And if you just beat them, you can't challenge them for another week so you're stuck in that spot for a week unless someone below you beats you.  The system is broken as-is.

nothing has been changed. and all challenges will remain reguardless of what we decide.

Hey stop stalking me I know you are a member at the mario kart wii site and the funny thing is that you joined the same day as me,I thought that I was your stalker cause I used to check your posts at smashboards but it seems that's not the case!.Lulz just kidding shea I hope we can both improve our mario kart wii skills.

first off, thats even if you played the person before you. second, you can challenge the person you just lost to, but you have to wait a day for your rematch.  you only have to wait a week if you lost to someone you challenged. Third, if you drop two spots and challenge the person directly above you and win.  You then have the opportunity to fight 2 spaces above, therefore avoiding the person that you have been beaten by.  see....not broken, but balanced.  I'm not going to have someone lose their position that hasn't even picked up the controller......that is broken!

Let me give an example:

Say this is the ranking:

Player A
You
Player B


First you take on Player A and win.

You
Player A
Player B

Next Player B takes you on and wins.

Player B
Player A
You

Now you're stuck where you are for a week since you can't challenge either person.

So you can rematch anyone who challenges you the next day?  Why won't everyone be doing that?

And how is it balanced if you can avoid the person who just beat you?  Why even have the ranking at all if you're just going to let someone weaker get ahead of someone stronger that way?
