Forums - PC - So I want some opinions on Oblivion

I own oblivion, but I haven't played it yet.

Hated Morrowind though. I hope they balanced the game out a little, and gave us a little more purpose for our questing this time.

Also, the technical bugs in MW for the original Xbox are still unforgivable. I give that game a 5/10.

I'm hoping for more from Oblivion. Maybe a more casualized experience, with fun to be had from time to time.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

My opinion: why start again???? I wouldn't stand a second playthrough, and you want to play if for the fourth time? (maybe even more)

And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... Lolz I think I already started over for more than six times, I bought the game on X360 and on PS3 and I will buy the game of the year edition later again for PS3 and I am pretty sure I will buy it again later for pc (when I got a new one ofcourse).

The PC versions I have of course, but I need to buy the GOTY Oblivion for X360. But why do you have it on both X360 and PS3?? You sold one of the consoles?

BTW, your experience of Morrowind and Oblivion so far is only on console?

First time was a battlemage second time was a Blunt theif......

Former something....

Just to join in with the Morrowind/Oblivion debate.

Oblivion is Morrowind on a larger scale with the entire game dumbed down - presumably because there was more focus on the console market. The difficulty and loot scaling systems were a pain in the arse, the leveling system was even worse than in Morrowind (largely due to the difficulty scaling system) and the entire world was extremely generic.
Morrowind was smaller but felt like it had been made with a lot more passion, the landscape was actually interesting and variable and the plot wasn't entirely rubbish.

The dungeons and combat are rubbish in both to be honest, also both had hugely annoying conversations - Oblivions random conversations were entirely un-convincing and Morrowind gave you way too many options.

In my opinion Morrowind was therefore a far superior game to Oblivion.

I had a X360 arcade but I sold it because it was a arcade version and someone wanted to buy it from me and I could make profit with it; Then I got it on PS3 later and I will also buy another GOTY PS3 copy later and an PC version.

Yes my experience of MW and OV are so only on consoles (I am really not a PC gamer =/.).

I just bought the GOTY edition for my X360.

I'm so excited to try this on a console. I have no idea what kind of character to play.
