Forums - PC - So I want some opinions on Oblivion

I still haven't finished this game yet, but I was playing as a assassin/thief.

PC veterans tend to hate it. Console owners are divided on the game.

I was going to do Archer/Sneak for my next character. I did a straight warrior really for my first time through. I made it custom though, the class name was Awesomer. I Awesome game though, I love it.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

altough first time in the sewers I was thinking WTF I can't see sh*t, but then I remembered the brightness wasn't all that. Man that made a hell of a difference

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Oblivion is a terrible game. Morrowind is ten times better than Oblivion.

But a fully modded Oblivion can provide a great experience.

QFT. Level scaling ( both loot and enemies ) destroyed for me.

I borrowed a friends copy of Oblivion recently and just couldn't get into it.

Instead I spent most of my time crushing defenceless villagers with a huge hammer, having boxing bouts with wild bears and trying to find glitches.

I suggest you spend your next play through as I spent my first. It was throughly rewarding, and of course, very amusing.

I also liked the shivering Isles, i loved that crazy old guy^^

Lol I played Daggerfall, Morrowind and most of Oblivion as an archer/assassin.

The main difference is toward the end in Oblivion I started to shoot arrows from stealth and then finish my opponents with melee weapons and shield ( mainly because melee items with charges do the job pretty well too and I was trying to level STR/END).

I have actually never played a true caster or a pure melee in any of the Elder Scroll serie.

Archer is really easy once you learn to shoot and run back...

I can't say level scaling was really an issue as I found myself stopping using poisons toward the end of the game as the enemies were really a bit too easy ( I finished the main quest at level 15).

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Oblivion. I spent more than 100 hours of my life with that game. The horror! I was addicted.

Play Morrowind if you haven't :P that's my suggestion.
