And actually comparing MGS4 and Uncharted wouldn't be so wise, because both are so different kind of games. Also Eternal Sonata uses cel shading and Folklore doesn't so it would be hard/impossible to compare those. Gears and Resistance would be near same. However you have to have more than a bit better graphics in one of those before you can make any conclusions. :)

Gears vs Resistance is fair. Both are 2006 games. I think Gears win in almost all categories against Resistance. Gears was the best for it time when come out in 2006. You can't expect that Gears will be N1 forever. Unreal Tournament looks better in 2007. Army of Two in my eyes looks a lot more better then Gears and it use the same engine. I like Army of Two character models more then every other game. You can buy and change your mask, armor, weapons and all of them looks perfect. This game is colorful and I prefer it against the plastic and cartoonish look of Uncharted. I played it two times with two diffrent friends. Fantastic game. Why all of you just stick with Gears and Uncharted? There are so many other good looking games.

Ok you are right some of them are ingame shotsand some are promoshots.

Now look at your images. For example the first one. Looks at the edge of the letters. Thouse are images originaly in smaller resolution and then they were expanded. The game is not looking like this imo!

LOL. The fact that this thread has 8 pages of posts just furthers the fact that the graphics are not that different. if it was completely obvious either way there could not possibly be an argument.

uncharted > any other console games graphics... ps3 multiplate = 360 multiplat.... ps3 exlusives > 360 exclusives

*oops* , sorry about the first one. Anyway it looks more like the game than those promoshots, but I admit it wasn't a good one. Second and third however seem to be real ones. :)

And those ingame clips are sub-hd so they look 'better' than the game really is.

The purpose of this thread is to compare multi-platform titles of 360 against PS3. 360 COD 4 V's PS3 COD 4, etc. I have no idea why games that are completely different genre are being compared. The same game on the two platforms needs to compared to make any sense.

I love this thread - so unreasonable!

I'll chip in by noting the following:

1) PS3 lead (Burnout I believe) is fractionally better on PS3 than 360

2) no lead (COD4 & DMC4) pretty much equal - fractionally better textures on 360 some extra post-processing PS3

3) 360 lead - noticable difference in PS3 (and not in a good way)

4) 360 to PS3 port - mostly poorer on PS3 so let's hope Bioshock bucks the trend
