Are you shitting me? I just bought a Bravia the other week.
I'm gonna go scream into a pillow now.

i hope these sales will be included in the sales data, since these arent really from retailers but directly from sony
Actually, you can pick a 40 GB PS3 with MGS4 for $750 just about anywhere...
As for the rate at which they are selling the TV's... does anyone have any data on how many they normally sell per day? For all we know, the increase isn't that large...
But I digress.
Finally got a PS3 and MGS4 with it. It's been a while since I've played any stealth action, but I'm enjoying it so far. Now if SC4 can just come out...
I said not even a week ago that they would start giving them away.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

Perhaps you could get a PS3, and AoA would love you again.
Whaaaaa? Damn... too bad I have an HDTV now... If this deal we're available at my area I would've been sold on day one!

If anything sony is actually making money out of this deal. Samsung TVs for comparison's sake go for about $2000 average per unit. The sony units using their pretiege pricing strategy go for around $3500 per unit. They are overpriced, and by a fair margin too. So instead of making people buy PS3s which go for $700 a pop, they make them buy a TV and PS3 and once, all for one inflated price of the TV.
Spectacular move by sony. That will bring the total, if successful, up to around 68000 PS3s indirectly sold through the pruchase of a TV. ;)
