I just found a gamasutra report with first week Japan sales for Fatal Frame III:

UPDATE - Thanks to Bruno, here's some Famitsu data for the first three games. This data is all for Japan:

Fatal Frame:

Week #1 - 21,770

LTD after 3 weeks - 42,195

Fatal Frame II:

Week #1 - 42,006

Week #2 - 8,932 (LTD to week #2 - 50,938)

Fatal Frame III:

Week #1 = 46,671 (20% higher than MC's number)

Week #2 = 7,396 (LTD to week #2 - 54,067)

LTD after 22 weeks - 69,147

Don't refer Fatal Frame as FF since people will confuse it for Final Fantasy. Fatal Frame IV will sell more if it gets decent marketing

there was more competition for survival horror on ps2 then wii, i think the wii version will do moderately better, i predict about 80k-120k first week

It's true. But I think FF IV might sell more than past iterations. Especially now since Nintendo is backing it up. Also, I think I heard it sells better in the West than Japan but I'm not sure.
