I think this E3 is most important for MS - if they are going to make a move on the 360, this is the year they will do it. We could see a new controller, new models, lots of new games, more XBOX LIVE services (movies, etc..) and more.
Nintendo will just continue to hammer home the advantage - the difference this year, will be the amount of quality content available from 3rd-party developers. EA & Activision will really start to shine through on the Wii.
The big Ninty question: will they have yet another peripheral/input device for the Wii? Apart from some form of "fix" for the storage problem, I sense something else in the works. I'd love to see some type of "touch pad" input system for the Wii - something like the DS, but with a much bigger region.
@Kurakasa: That looks like trolling again, and now two threads tonight. Is it that hard to post on topic, or not to be so sarcastic? Especially with a "proud to not own a Wii" sig? I suggest you leave this thread if you don't have anything to contribute.

Wii will not have a hardcore 1st/3rd party support.
This made no sense since these games cost a lot to developp and sell better to hardcore gamers that, on average, dont buy Wii
AND
because Wii is already doing amazingly well WITHOUT these games.
At the best, Wii will have multiplateform PS360Wii support (like the next Star War) but I doubt 3rd party devs will make hardcore games exclusively to Wii.
Time to Work !
For the wiimote copying thing, actually dont mind, because its not the controller why Nintendo was popular, its about the games. And in this year Ninty already upstream the market they'll never make snother Wii Sports kind of thing again, thats why Wii Motor Sports and Wii Music is cancelled.
Wii Sports was the game that started it all, its the game that introduced Ninty to the new market and the casuals, but in months come by the "so called" casuals are not contented with the same casual thing over and over again, they want more. Thats why Nintendo released many franchise titles in course of the year.
Wii Fit was different though, but Im sure Nintendo will store a new game just for the balance board.
About E3, I think this is the time Nintendo will announced games more focus on the core gamers this time just to topple over MS and SONY dominance in the core market.
end of core gaming days prediction:
E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced
E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.
E3 2010- Tape runs out

I've never heard about a Wii motor sports game, but do you have any proof about Wii music being cancelled? As far as I know, it's still scheduled for 2008, probably Q4. I also think it's a game many of us Wii owners are interested in.

Oh God. Here were go with the "Hardcore games don't sell on the Wii!" nonsense again. |
One would think that someone who has been on the site as long as libellule would have learned something about that, but alas...

Nintendo needs to announce some really big games otherwise Wii owners will have a really really sad christmas. They will of course announce some but that is a necessity. They attacked the PS360 by releasing all their biggest GC franchises in the first 15 months.
What's left of the Gamecube Top15 in Nintendo games is
Luigi's mansion
Animal Crossing,
and some Starfox game
They already released
Smash,
Mario
Kart,
Zelda,
Mario PArty,
Pokemon,
Paper Mario
Metroid
Firing from all barrels at start worked beautifully, now lets see how they follow up.
(I mean they will still dominate, I don't understand it but apparently it works but perhaps it will be a littlebit more interesting.
)

Actually the Zelda released on Wii isn't technically a wii game, it's a Gamecube game. The next Zelda will be a wii game. At the very least in my head, there's no true Zelda released on the wii, just a port.
The biggest problem with Wii isn't Nintendo though, it's third parties. When you put your C team on a game, rush it through and low budget it put it on a system and expect it to run with AAA fully funded first party games, you have no damn right to complain when it doesn't sell.
I swear every time I hear them say "oh core games don't sell on the Wii" and they reference a port or compare a new series to a founded series that sells well I want to crack them.

What about 3rd parties? There's already Fatal Frame, Tenchu (from the team which made the first game), and much more than I can't be bothered to type on the way. I'm sure there will be more announcements at E3. If you think that Wii owners can have a "sad Christmas" as you said, you're in for a surprise.
