So what kind of ideas would you prefer from Sak? Cry On is going to be real time, and have a few innovations in it well beyond what LO/BD were.
Why is it that they can advance FFXII into a real-time RPG, and everyone craps on it, and hates it? It had tons of innovation, yet is hated by the core group of FF fans because it was too different, and now Square is clamoring to go back to the old system. Every Playstation fanboy is eagerly anticipating the archaic design of FFXIII..So why is the way Sak does things, any different?
Lets not forget that it will take him, Mistwalker, Feel Plus, and the rest of the core group that 'Sak works with, to mesh, and meld ideas to create a truely revolutionary game - weather its old or new. The design teams haven't worked as a full-fledged group before Blue Dragon, and Lost Odyssey (and we know that LO blows BD out of the water). So we can see that progress was made in the past year, between what BD accomplished, and what LO did as well.

Speaking as a diehard FF fan, it wasn't the gameplay that I disliked in FFXII, in fact, I thought it was a great, refreshing approach. What I did hate about it, and what made it m=one of my least liked FF's was it's storyline and its boring characters.
I don't have any issues with Sakaguichi sticking to what he knows at all. I'd gladly eat it up. I don't think there is a double standard set here by 'Every Playstation fanboy', I really hate it when people generalize.
