Wow, you're right. I had two browsers open testing the same page on VGC. Firefox was taking up 140MB of RAM while Elinks (a text-based email browser I'm using to post) uses 3.2 MB. That's not a mistake. 3.2 MB of RAM.

WTF!? I never checked that out but no wonder its ran like shit on my PC.

Elinks looks weird! You really have to know your way around with computers to use it....I think.

You get used to how to use it really quickly, It's only available on Linux/Unix OSs though. It is surprisingly functional, as long as you don't mind not seeing images. :)

 

Thought so. But no images....nooooo!!! I needs mes somes images!

Seriiously!? My PC is old to so I thought that was the problem. FF3 did everything you said it doesnt. It even messed with my music in my media player. The tracks would start skipping when a page loaded.

 

Wow really? That's strange...I haven't had any problems, and in fact I've only noticed that everything runs a lot faster and smoother with the update. Maybe something went wrong when you downloaded it, or maybe your computer has some other sort of problem? I don't know enough about computers to say, but maybe mine is just more...compatible...with the new firefox?

I use Firefox and have been for two and a half years now. I switched to it because I liked all the extra features it had at the time over IE and how it was more protected.

No way! Ive downloaded it twice so it wasnt the download. I guess it is my PC. Lol yea it probably is more compatible how old is your PC?

Opera 9.5 for everything. I haven't noticed any issues with it. Although I believe that some of my friends have issues with Yahoo Mail whilst using it.

maybe I'll switch back to using the old firefox, this one is faster but It freezes once in a while... does this happens to anybody else with FF3?

w00t! Same here. I stopped using Yahoo a while ago got tired of it. Im on Windows Live now.
