Damn the thread title lost me.... I was saying, "wtf is 0 days?" until, "oh, he meant launch day of the PS3"

Would've been one with you guys haven't it not been for the HDTV I was saving for.

I got mine under 3weeks after launch on ebay, it came with a game and was selling below retail. The person who was selling them knew some guy who worked at wal-mart and got a deal and was trying to sell them for profit. He had about 4 PS3 units and they were rolled over on ebay several times, and each time he lowered the price, nobody was buying them. 

Stores were all sold out so you had to go online to get them, and mine came with the free movie.

As Sony fanboyish as I was at the time, I saved up and got mine feb 07. Surprisingly, I ended up with a Wii later in May. (which I thought was crappy till I first played and enjoyed it.)

Luckily, I didn't have to get 2 jobs since I got a lot from working with my dad at the time. (he makes around 320k a year.) With the job I have now, mcdonalds, I wouldn't have gotten a Ps3 till like June 07.
