Forums - Sony - Should I buy a PSP?

Get one,it has lots of good games. And it still has some good games coming for the next year or year and a half, not even counting the new announcements that can be made at E3 or TGS.

I would reccomend you Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lions ,Outrun 2006 ,Lumines ,Loco Roco ,Patapon ,God of War ,Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core ,Disgaea ,Wipeout Pulse ,Syphonf Filter Dark Mirror ,Syphon Filter Logans Shadow ,Killzone Liberation ,Metal Gear Portable Ops ,Castlevania X ,Tekken Dark Ressurrection ,Ace Combat X ,Jeanne D Arc ....portable gaming doesnt get any better that these.

So they fixed the dead pixel thing eh?  Neat.  I still stuck decding between getting a PSP or PS3 first.

Get the PS3, I play 100 times more than I play my psp.

It also costs 100 times more than the PSP.

I think PSP is worth it.
But I do agree w/ everybody - wait 'til E3

I do have a DS, and I play games more on it than I do on PSP...
But they have different strengths.

I watch movies and listen to music on my PSP a lot

I recently bought a 8gb memory card
(actually it's M2 but I use adapter.. that way I can switch it w/ my phone's memory card to also watch movies - but that's another point)

Most games on PSP are fairly cheap especially the used ones.
I don't know if it is just me, but Internet is slow...
Skype is also useful as well since I have families in another country...

Okay I guess I better wait till E3 and if they definitely got some good games coming to the PSP or new features then I'll have to pay a trip to Wal-Mart. I mainly want it for the Final Fantasy games and the god of war game but Diomedes1976 mentioned some pretty good games so I'll have to check them out as well.

I'm too much of a Sony fan to betray them like that, but don't get me wrong Nintendo is a excellent brand, I started gaming with a SNE, so I might buy a DS in a few years time. (and only if it's extremely cheap)

yes get one the ones that are bricked are the ones that people tried to hack and then failed

If you have the disposable income to spend on one, then get it. That is one of the reasons stopping me right now.

I been very tempted to buy a PSP for a long time now and I've been looking on ebay constantly for a PSP at a good price but I can never find one. There's not to many games that I really want to play, well theres actually only three, but I really want to play them games.

So what I wanted to know is if the PSP has a bad failure rate, because when I was looking on ebay like 50% of all the PSP's were broke and also I've heard about the PSP being bricked alot, does that happen much?

And besides games is it useful to do the other thing's on the PSP like music, videos, internet?

no bad failure rates.

handhelds are prone to breaking from being dropped, put in a back pack or otherl luggage on trips etc.

bricking doesn't happen if you don't mod it.

music is good, I don't like videos because the screen is just to small, the internet is really slow (probably a rather weak wifi to not burn up the battery)

yea, power is enough to last a few movies...
failure rate - i have a psp slim and they seem to work great. no complaint from me at all... plus i got mine wrapped in in a nerf case, so it's well protected =)

if you are a sony fan, then why the hell have you not gotten one?!
heheheh=)
