Really? Read the closing statement in the review, actually written by Edge.

I think that is obvious. If there is anything fanboyish, it is indeed coming from Edge.

Yeah, NG2 is masterpiece in terms of fighting mechanics, BUT:
camera
weak graphics
sub-hd
frame rate problems
weak story

these cons overall make NG2 to be just a good game, nothing more.

 

According to Edge, regardless of all those flaws the fighting alone makes NG2 a much above average game. Yet how is that possible? It is almost no different from Black/Sigma.

Was it Edge that gave MGS4 an 8 and used weak excused like how the glass in windows break?

God of War II review by Edge - 70.
Ninja Gaiden - 90

I guess they just enjoy mindless violence with no story.

Wow, Edge just flushed any credibility down the toilet. How can the editors allow such bias crap to be published? I never paid much attention to them anyways. I'll stick with IGN for the most part.

They're allowed to like NG more than GOW. It's totally understandable as there's pros and cons to both games. It's just that whole hardcore gamers need MS bit that is unfounded and silly.

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.

God of War >>> NG = DMC4

Also it's nice how he compares Ninja Gaiden 2 to God of War on the PS2... Let's see him make that comparison when God of War 3 launches. That will be very fun.

No wonder MS lost money on the XBOX in 2007. They spent too much goddamned money paying off Edge.

I like DMC4 best. It has a gorgeous fighting engine, very deep and intuitive at the same time, while having an entertaining story and amazing graphics. NG2 is good too, though it lacks compared to DMC4 especially in story and graphics.

GOW is for casuals, flash without substance, it doesn't even count.
