Up next for the Wii is to pass the Genesis. Then the N64 is not long after that.

Meh, the only important milestones from here on out are when it passes, in order:

N64 @ 33mm, PSP @ 45m, SNES @ 49m, NES @ 62m, PS1 @ 103m, PS2 @ 125m.

First two will be this year. Next two will be Next year. Last two will be in 2012/3.

What did the Nintendo 64 sell? I think it was around 32 million. The Wii should pass it this summer!

@superchunk: I don't think PSP will be at 45 million once the Wii catches up to it. 40 mil seems more likely IMO.

People criticise threads that celebrate each million sold for the PS3 and 360. It's even worse still to celebrate such milestones for the Wii, given the pace at which it sells. I'll reserve my congratulations for when it reaches 30 million.

People are criticizing this one as well (I trust you realize that since you read the thread).

And this certainly wasn't created by some Wii fan to gloat.
