1 - I think that is a naive statement. I'm a huge JRPG fan. I still think Final Fantasy 'pwns' everything and:     

           A) I've played many, many rpgs (likely more than you simply due to age - really don't mean this in a                      condescending  way) and is pretty much the only genre I love; and

           B) I've played every Final Fantasy game. Ive played every ff game other than 2 and 5.

2 - 'There are many bad FF games'? Name the ones that are generally considered 'bad'. VIII, and XII are both considered bad compared to alot of rpgs.

3 - There are MANY rpgs that are better than IV, VI, X? I don't mean to sound rude, but I didn't know this was so well known. Well that is determined by your opinion of many, but if he considered boht Wrpgs and JRpgs then yes many meaning about 10 or so are better than Vi and IV both of my favorites. Examples are Chrono Trigger, Baldur's Gate II, Xenogears, Golden Sun, Earthbound, and some more.  I also would rate kh and kh2 up there even if it is somewhat of an ff spinoff.

While some Final Fantasy's may be overrated, and some of its fans crazed, does not degrade the quality of the series whatsoever. Personally, there has been no other series of games that I look forward to most and play the most.

Of all of the other JRPG's that I've played, the one's that I find come close to some FF's are Xenogears, DQXIII and Lufia 1&2 and maybe BoF2. I hope I'm not coming off as a jerk here, but I just don't understand all of the slights against FF lately.  I suppose it's true when they say it's easiest to attack something that is very successful (MS, Ipod, etc.).

I'm not against ff, its a gread series, but people always say its better than everything else without playing everything else. You may be an exception, but there are many that would say the same as you without anything to back up their statements. Anyway I guess we should just disagree.
