Forums - Nintendo - Would you...?

Someone earlier had made a thread about a weekly poll question, so I figured I'd take some iniative and start one.

This Week's topic: Nintendo Wii (Or any other System) Would you pay $10 for a Super Nintendo quality, yet entirely new game, in an established Franchise such as Mega Man, Breath of Fire, Metroid etc? If so, what Franchise?

Apparently no one at late night or in Europe will.

What franchise? I wouldn't want to limit myself, there are so many franchises I could see myself getting excited over, and I know I'm not going to think of them all. Let's put it this way, NSMB was *basically* SNES quality, and I shelled out $30 for that sucker. Another 2D Ninja Turtles side-scroller would be awesome. If a developer can get excited about it enough to make a sequel, I'd probably at least *consider* getting it.

I mean, who'd have thought Pac Man CE would be getting as much buzz as it is?

I am not sure this is the answer you are looking for, but I still on occasion buy SNES games for my SNES. There are a few places around where I live that still carry used and unopenned ones. So yes, I would - I love the games from that era - Mario for sure.

Sure, that's only two bucks more than what we're paying for old ones on the VC. Newness is worth my two dollars.

Nintendo made a Snes sequel to Star Fox. The project was complete and ready to ship, but they decided not too so they could focus on the 64. They release that game, and you've got my 10 bucks.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

If it's a SNES quality, full fledged game on a franchise that I like, I'd probably be willing to even pay $15 - $20 for it.

-Manella: Yeah... sux0rz! I hate missing out on food...
-Maya: Nick... what does "Sucksores" mean?
-Phoenix: No idea...

A new side-scrolling action game...something like a cross between Streets of Rage and Viewtiful Joe would certainly get my money...heck, almost any 2D fighter on the DS would be great.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

A Chrono Trigger Sequel...
Demons Crest 2...
Super Mario RPG 2 (Made by Square-Enix of course)

I'd say Legend of Zelda. Personally Im not as satisfied with the newer 3D series that I call the Choremaster series. From Ocarina to Wind Waker the game franchise seems less in its original Action/Adventure format than it's new absurd long winded chorish map-hawking "adventure"/platformer with spotty cameras during boss fights. I realize I'm in a small crowd with this opinion, most Zelda fans still love the new ones but me, I want to see it wii wared in 2D like the Four Swords.
