Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Rumor: Microsoft to allow third party X360 manufacturing.

how cool will this be?

Lower prices which is great for gamers.

I like the picture on this link.

I didn't know about these:

"For example, Sega CD drives were available for the PC and Panasonic released a DVD/Gamecube player soley in Japan."

this has to be one of the worst ever rumors i've ever heard.

^ Agreed, although it can still be possible.

360 IS OPERATIONAL AFTER 37 DAYS!

it would be great for us (lower prices)...and good for MS in Japan: there could be Mitsubishi or Panasonic Xbox (Made in Japan=greater appeal for Japanese customers)

2008 year end sales (made in January 2008):

44.2 M 27.1 M 20.8 M

^^didn't think about that!
That would be awesome for MS.

This would be a great, disruptive announcement for Microsoft at E3--sales would skyrocket once it happened (though, admittedly, like the PS3, people may not buy these '360-compatible' items to play 360 games).

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Tag, courtesy of fkusumot: "Why do most of the PS3 fanboys have avatars that looks totally pissed?"
"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

^^for someone like me who considered buying PS3 as a blueray player first it would be a good idea.
Imagine buying a LG Television with 360-compatible for only $200 more.

I just read about this on n4g.com and the article that I read said that MS would start allowing 3rd parties to make equipment for the 360 not the 360 itself as all of the consoles get a 3rd party to make their console anyway. Basically, it means that MS is going to allow anybody to make an add-on if they want to. Sorry to burst the bubble, yo.

Yeah, cause that worked SOOOOO well for the 3DO. (sarcasm)

Keep this in mind when reading what I type...

I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.
