I liked FFXII.. I liked it better the FFVII but not as much as FFX. I liked the battle-system. It brought a sense that your characters aren't mindless zombies in battle. I do agree the characters were lame. Sound could have been better. The side bosses and the secret weapon added difficulty to the game. To get it, do not collect anything from a treasure chest unless the story tells you to. The 50m boss is... fun to kill. Just like the final boss guy in Super Mario RPG, I think they both have 50m health lol.

Culex has somewhere around 4000 hp, and Smithy hits himself in the head with a Hammer. It's funny.

Final note: Hey, I disliked it, I gave my reasons, but thing is, many people will like it, and good on them. I just needed a rant.

I'm sorry but that is a complete and utter crock. The PS1 hardware had nothing to do with how the putrid story of FFVII was conveyed. Both Final Fantasy IV and VI were restricted to SNES cartridges and neither had a problem conveying their stories. Of course those games actually had a good story to begin with. Lunar 2 (Sega CD) did a masterful job conveying its story and its was on lesser hardware as well. Those are just a few examples off the top of my head. 

as of recent the true FF games have been,lets say,in a different direction...

FF12 ..where can i start..random treasure chests,dumb.

what about caring for the characters ? not for me.(even FF4,FF6 for snes made me care for the great characters WAY more.) FF12 was purely about story...like Hironobu Sakaguchi said,"you cant expect much when the director leaves in the middle of the game." and its the truth..

FF7's story ,to me, was awesome. maybe it was alittle too mundane  dark and complicated for some.
