Yeah nobody can stop of Wii and it's avalanche of casual gamers on it's way to #1 but as long as the 360 is successful (and it already is) that's all that matters.
Congrats on 10M! Now I wonder how long it will take to get to the next 10M milestone...
Numbers are like people. Torture them enough and you can get them to say anything you want.

Stop right there! Don't for a second forget exactly where we were supposed to be. For Microsoft to be successful with 360, it had bloody well meet THEIR OWN TARGETS. Need I remind you what those targets were? Why we've been going ON and ON and ON about 10 million?! It's because Microsoft themeselves went out of their way to say they'd reach 10 million before the others reached market. Afterwards they revised that and said they meant by the end of the calander year (2006). They've now reached that revised 'milestone' 6 months late. And we've all watched as they've lumbered towards that goal oh so incrementaly.
Forget Wii and PS3; 360 is very late by all of MS's own reckonings.

Its selling pretty well in the US at the moment - but not in Europe, and DEFINITELY not in Japan. Now is when things get really interesting ;)
The Wii has hit 8m (WW), and is now just 1.9m behind (closer to 1.8m after tomorrow).

The Xbox 360 is on it's way to being a real success. Dispite it's high pricetag it's managed to pass 10 million and will very likely pass the halfway mark of the Xbox 1's installed base before Christmas. This is without taking into consideration the affect price cuts will have on 360 sales in the future. The future is looking very bright for the 360, lets not forget that :)

Sorry to go off topic, well yay 360, there, do you have any secret info that isn't on the site? Looking at the sales chart 360 sales don't seem to be "really picking up at the moment". I had to bring that up since combined with your statement that HSG could break a million (even discounting non-Japan sales it'll sell to almost every PS3 owner in Japan!?) your video game sales prognosticating skills don't seem to be what I thought they were.
