i have thought long and hard about this i already have a ps3 so i wouldnt be doing it for the graphics and im no rpg fan i just want to experience every console kinda get the best from both worlds. the only thing is i wont use the 360 for online gaming and do u guys think the 360 is worth it without the online please help me out here? note: i use my ps3 as my online gaming machine

If you got a ps3, but not a decent pc then a cheap xbox of ebay should good.

Just for games like alan awake and gears but like i said all the good games on 360 come out on pc, so

The 360 has enough console exclusive games to be worth it without the need for online, however Live is the best Online gaming service available right now, you'd really be missing out on one of the 360's best assets, unless you don't have the money or consider it morally wrong to pay for online or have another reason, I suggest you use it, or at least pick up the 30 day free trial.

I owned a PS3 and surprisingly the Xbox 360(which I hated before owning) has completely changed my gaming experience for the better, this generation.

I hate Gears and I still say it's the Gods honest truth. Get one, you'll never regret it.

Also, I too don't online game, I do download some XBLA and Original games on my hard-drive and message friends though, which is free.

You can have a blast without LIVE. From games like Test Drive Unlimited, Call of Duty 2 and Gears, to Ace Combat 6 and tons of cheap games. You won't be disappointed. If you do, resell it on craigslist. Someone will buy it.
