Well there wasn't as much humor as you would see in other final fantasy's, you don't care about th characters at all, the story was sub-par,there are things such as moogles, chocobos, and there was far more grinding than previous final fantasy games, etc. All these and the battle ssystem being so new, like I said you wouldn't notice the game as a final fantasy game if it had a different name.

really? never got to play ffxii. had to sell my ps2...as fpr sci-fi, final fantasy has always been a mix of technology and myths/supernatural. well..i know thats true starting from ffvii. i also think ffvi was a mix of sci-fi and myths.

FFVI, was similar to the industrial age. They were just starting out on technology. I wasn't talking about the setting being futuristic or medeivial though.

i know, was just to lazy to post individually reg munkeh's sci-fi comment. i suppose i should score another ps2 and play through ffxii to see for myself.
I love JRPGs but none of the 360 jrpg appeal to me mostly because I don't like Sakaguchi's old fashioned games, and I dont like western RPG either. But there's a greater reason : I will never, ever again in my life buy a 360.

how come? let me guess, you got one of those launch 360s or the ones with the xenon mobo?
Read sig....
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing
(mostly)
And shepherds we shall be,
For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

I could care less if it was Xenon, Zephyr, Jasper or whatever craptacular mobo MS is trying to shove down our throats. Point is it lasted hardly 4 months, so yeah I feel like I've got ripped off.
