Sony needs to way up profits against market-share. I don't know their strategy though so its kind of hard to speculate whether it will be before the holidays (cutting profit but grabbing marketshare - especially from the 360) or after the holidays (losing marketshare over the holidays but probably have the PS3 overall as profitable over the holidays).
