COD4 is hardly much better than it's antecessors. COD4 is basically a cookie-cut product of COD2 with just a different coating.

Besides, it's not like COD4 is even one of the best FPS around (TF2, Quake Wars, Counter Strike: Source, Crysis, Battlefield 2 are all better than COD4 multiplayer-wise)

Amazing how nobody seems to pay attention to the content of the trailer. I don't mean the graphics and the setting. I mean what is actually happening. The trailer is almost nothing but brutal deaths, from either side, including killing prisoners of war.

The developers promised the game will focus more on the horrors of war, and this trailer makes that clear.

I want a WWI game. You just sit in your trench for hours getting your bones rattled by artillery shells and breathing through a rag soaked in your own urine to protect yourself from poison gas. Then you "go over the top" and quickly get cut down by machinegun fire.

PS: Yes you played Russians and British in CoD previously but it seemed tossed in for good measure and it was mostly about the super G.I's from across the ocean.
