Looks like a bad article. A price cut by MS would be pretty big, especially if they announced it now before the Halo 3 hype. I'd expect it to hit a lot of websites, followed by fuzzy phone pics confirming the price drop in stores. Ha.

I think that interview when they said 199 was the sweet spot made people think it was price cut time.

I see no sources from MS in either of the articles.

And a price cut before Halo 3 would be silly.  When it happens, it's not going to happen until Halo 3 sales and GTAIV sales slow. 

The original Xbox got it's price cut just before Halo 2

.. also if you google price cut and xbox you get about a dozen "MS denies price cut" so I'm not sure how accurate this actually is.

Whether you think a price cut before Halo 3 is silly or not, the fact is that article's only source was another article with no source. It is not accurate.

Right.... If you were thinking about a 360, don't until the price cut reaches a store near you. ;)

Well its not like they're going to say "price cut coming in 3 months!" thats just going to slow down current 360 sales even more.
However I do speculate, and hope a price cut when Halo3 or Christmas.
Thats the big chance MS has to boost ahead of PS3 significantly
