Well Kojima has said himself that he wants the Metal Gear franchise to continue with new characters and new storyline. He also talked about passing on his legacy to the next generation of game makers to continue on the franchise. Its all on the blu-ray disc that came with the LE version of the game.
I agree with Kojima then.They should make an entirely new series set in a diffrent universe.
I dont think they should yet, I believe that they will first release remakes of Metal gear and Metal gear solid snake.
With PS3 visuals, that would be amazing.

I doubt it,maybe the first one--but after beating MGS4,I really hope that they introduce a new Metal Gear universe with the MGS4 engine.Which seems like plausible move to make.

PsP:PO2 Revoler Ocelot (i would like to know what he was up to between the events of metal gear 1 and metal gear 2 solid snake, since they are the only two he isnt in)
Well if any of you heard the podcast on the IPOD, the guy speaks of the next metal gear game after MGS4, and he talks about BIG BOSS being in the game.
So it has to be a prequal.
