Not really its more an Openworld Prince of Persia with some of the best features of any game:

(Most impressive graphic to date, awesome free running, ubercool settings, best atmosphere ever)

and some big problems (repetition, AI problems, some people complaining about fighting which I can't understand completely)

If you can accept flaws Assassin's is one of the best games ever, if they destroy your enjoyment buy something else.

Can they include multi plat?

Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion (multiplat)
Burnout: Paradise (multiplat)
Rachet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (PS3 only)
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3 only)
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune (PS3 only)

Assassin's Creed

If you have a 360 take off those last three and buy six BluRay movies instead.

MGS4 is an absolute MUST BUY......it to me defined the reason for spending £425 on the PS3.

R & C I would say is a very fun game with a huge repeat value.

GTA 4 -- only get it if you didn't like the open-ness of GTA SA...n loved GTA 3 & GTA : VC more than GTA SA

Uncharted -- I have heard this is a very nice game

That leaves two...I say WAIT for 2 months as Little Big Planet & Motorstorm 2 might interest you

Well I'd say take out AC

As COD4 will have Free PS3 online

same with GTA 4....but he may want the DLC for GTA 4
