Forums - Nintendo - My impressions on Okami for Wii.

Well, I haven't seen it anywhere...yet. Once I see it (preferably for $80 or less), its mine. I hate it when EB are the only ones to stock a game - and have it for $100 or more... (esp. considering US & AU dollars are almost at parity).

I will buy this game as soon as I finish Twilight Princess.

Yes, I still haven't finished it, I'm terrible.

i played it on the ps2 and i was sad that it didnt sell a lot of copies.
now the wii version must be out in europe, but here in the netherlands i havent seen a copy i a couple of different shops.
apparently they dont sell it. the same was with "no more heroes".
and a couple of years ago with viewtiful joe.
I imported them from the UK....but joe average doesnt do that.

please capcom....promote this beautiful game!!!!
(and make a sequel)

@radiooiRobert "It is true. Just hold down z on the nunchuck and then drag your brush for a perfect straight line. Simple."

Thanks.Shame that some reviewers wrote that that was a minus in the game..They ought also to read the manual. If they have time

For the aussie's looking for Okami, i got it from dvdcrave.com $78. They are pretty good place to buy games from im my experience. I mostly pre-ordered games of them and they post them on the day of release or earlier if they get the stock.

picked up Obscure 2 of them for $32, its a ok survival horror game, it has much better graphics than what I have seen of Alone in the Dark for the wii.

Okami is a pretty neat game with nice graphics and good game play elements... but what really kills me with this game is all the damn text that you have to go through. i've stopped playing it at the moment so i can't remember 100%, but i think you either can't skip whole scenes or fast forward. it makes the game move at an unbearably slow pace.

@mtofu
In Wii version you can skip the scenes if you want to. It is the future of gaming :)

got this game 1st day and the wii controls aren't for the faint hearted but gotta tell you once you get them down it's a fantastic game. This joins the list with Z&W and NMH in non nitendo AAA must play titles for me.

The game sounds awsome. I havn't really liked the Wii, but I think I finally *get* the Wii remote. I went back and Playeyed Monkey ball on Wii, and I was actaully able to get past world 2!

I just got this game and I can highly reccommend it to everyone. A great buy!

Personally I like the PS2 version better. Brushing is easy in the WII version but battles are a pain when it comes to swinging with the remote. This makes battling ten times slower than in the PS2 version. You have to push the stick of the nunchuk really hard to make Ammy run or else she'll constantly walk instead. The voices of the characters are a lot softer in the WII version and if you don't adapt the music to a lower stand you hardly hear the crazy mumbling sounds. Plus I like the lighter paper rice GFX better in the PS2 version, I find them kind of blurry in the WII version and too dark. Its nice there's a skip option, but why the heck do you want to skip a wonderful cutscene with the crazy Issun?

The game is a total must have if you have never played it before but if you already own the PS2 version, I'd say stick with that, IMO.
