- reduce sales because there is less product avaible
- create hype on the product because it is harder to get ...

and PS3 80gb is the best BR player and HD console ...

I don't think they'll use the 80GB PS3 for Europe just yet (aside from the UK where they could use some HW-boosting).

They're making a nice profit on selling the 40GB's over here, and they have this market down already.

I think they'll focus on NA to close the gap with Xbox, and perhaps keep churning out bundles so that they can keep this momentum going until the alleged price drop from the Xbox takes the wind out of their sails a bit.

I really hate our prices in Sweden if Blu-ray were region free I would have ordered PS3 from the US. Hope someone makes solution for that. It is not that easy to make 80GB for PAL specially if it is limited time it does not sound that smart to start a whole new production for few thousands sales that they will sell at loss anyway.

Sometimes it seems as if some monkeys are ruling Sony Computer Entertaintment.Then they make some smart decisions (as this bundle ) and you think they will learn from this.But no,they keep depriving Europe from the 80Gb and lets see how much time the 80Gb offer lasts in Japan.


Sony ,listen ,this is easy.You are catching up with the 360 but the Wii is putting considerable distance between itself and the PS3.You want to catch up much faster to the 360 (and that way make inviable even for MS money to buy all those timed exclusives) and reduce the gap as much as you can with the Wii.THe 360 has already dropped its price in Europe and will do the same for US later this year.JUST drop the price of the 40Gb to 299 and make the 80GB with MGS4 399 for Europe (and Japan for adecuate price) and you will absolutely OWN!

I saw two MGS4 bundles at Walmart today. I also saw two Wii's. Funny thing is they had no MGS4 games for sale. No Wii Fit or MK either.
