Explain to me how someone "wins" a press conference?

Why don't you find out yourself?

It's quite obvious that the one that wins, is the one that gets talked about mostly after the conference ended.
Please think.

No, you please think.

How are they winning a press conference.

Explain to me, how you score said press conference, how you keep track of the plays and how you referee it.

Show me, even better, give me the links that show any one press conference; E3 or other wise where a consoles sales jumped to the point where they could not be beaten directly after wards.

I will ask my question again, How do you win a press conference?

Do you seriously think that Nintendo has anything up their sleave that will make their consoles sell more? Is that even possible? Arent they supplied constrained (unless some big game is coming out on the 360 or PS3, then they have millions to sell of course) every month?

To answer this asinine question, there is nothing Nintendo can do to win this E3 outside of announcing that they are double or quadrupling their production, anything else they will say cant result in bigger sales numbers. The only two companies that have any room to "Win" E3 is Sony and Microsoft, as they have more product sitting around to be sold after some video trailer or demo gave the ignorant masses a hard on.

Maybe, Trestres, if you found it out yourself you could have saved me the energy of typing it out.

Here, I'll give you an example.

Nintendo announces "Super Fan Service Game Part 4" at E3, and everyone gets super buzzed about it, then they go out and cant buy any Wii's because they are still constrained. Sales stay level.

At the same time, Sony and Microsoft announce their line up, give demos and videos all equaling to just shy of how much buzz Nintendo got. However, everyone that is excited about those things then go out into the world and buy PS3's and 360s because they are available. Sales spike.

So who won there 33? (Can I call you 33? I hate typing out trestres, anyways) By your standards Nintendo won, by sales standards Sony and Microsoft won.

besides that, isnt saying who got more "buzz" at a conference about as opinion based as something can get? Couldnt me and you walk away from E3 and have me say "Yep, Sony won that one" and you say "No! Nintendo won that one!"?

I repeat.

How does someone "win" a press conference?

I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

This space Reserved for the Nuggets of Wisdom dropped by Bladeforce:

"Why post something like this when all it will get is PS3 owners blinded to reality replying? BOTH THE PS3 AND BLUE-RAY WILL NOT LAST 3 YEARS! TECHNOLOGY CHANGED TOO FAST!"

"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"

"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"

It's gonna take a little Kid Icarus, Animal Crossing and Pikimin 3, a storage solution, strong 3rd party shooters (Conduit, RS2, COD:WAW) and to just demolish would be a trailer for Zelda.
For the DS it would be NSMB2 and Metroid Dread, and they're locked in for life.

It won't take that much.  About half of those wowuld do it. Even though I expect more than half.

Wow emmi, you really twisted the whole "winning" press conferences. Now winning a press conference = sales spike? I don't think that's what anyone here considers it. The company who "wins" is the company who shows off more/better games and news that people get excited about. "Winning" means they made you, or the mainstream, more excited/happier than the other companies did. The company who wins a press conference really depends on what information you are looking for, so it's really a personal matter.

I'm pretty sure that when people here are talking about who will "win" the press conferences, they are asking who will garner the most mainstream commotion and appeal for their conference.

Is it really hard to understand?

Do what they always do; Milk their franchises dry with minimal investment and tell the public that they don't give a jack$hit about your opinions about their clunky online, dated design choices, lack of system memory solution and other issues. The public will rise to a standing ovation and secure Nintendo another year of endless profits.

I sure hope that was sarcasm, unless you want me to report you for obvious trolling.

More like the truth guised in obvious cynicism.

they need to show REAL games. not jsut casual shit.

they need 3rd parties to show something decent on Wii.

Sure the !st party games would win E3. but to me i don't feel it owuld be a real victory unless there is awesome shit coming from 3rd parties too.

Why? because if 3rd parties hav enothign good on wii menas everything good will be on ps3 or 360, and guess what those games will sell those consoles.

If wii is to slow down the other two even more they need ALOT of AAA games from all direcitons hitting the wii.

Real games like SSBB< Smg, Mp3, FE, etc that they've released on the wii the last two years?

@DTG I think you are talking about sony. They are the ones who knew their consumers didn't want rumble. Also what games that sony made for the ps3 are different and high quality?
