Forums - Nintendo - Boom Blox sales met its expectations EA CEO says, analysts say so otherwise

If the company is satisfied, that's all that matters. Screw the analysts.
This is really what I want to say, as long as the company made the game was happy with the outcome, nothing else matters. Most of these games arent frontloaded anyway.

@Montana: And yet you defend a Sony troll. I find that annoying from you, I just had to tell you.

I could continue by listing games on the DS that appeal to the non-'Core' gamer crowd, but I think I have made my point

I agree with Pachter on this one, actually. Boom Blox did get marketing; I just don't think EA knows how to market a game or sell it (the name is wrong, for starters).

So the game's already made a profit, the company's already happy with its sales, it's getting great reviews, and the sales are basically the same every week, and analysts and Joystiq are still bitching and moaning?

This game's fun as hell, especially with the level editor.

What marketing? No TV ads......the only ad I saw was the trailer on the Wii demo chanel.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I wonder if the 'analysts' will give credit to Indy Wii for being the best selling of all the platforms? I don't have very high expectations, I'm sure they'll find some other game to prove bad sales.

Where exactly did you get that the game already made a profit ?

EA CEO might have said it met expectations, he sure didn't say it made a profit....

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Then you weren't watching the right shows. EA did advertise this on television: they put the ads on kid's cartoons. Their logic was that hardcore players would buy it regardless -- it's the kids they need to convince.
