What marketing? No TV ads......the only ad I saw was the trailer on the Wii demo chanel.

 

Then you weren't watching the right shows. EA did advertise this on television: they put the ads on kid's cartoons. Their logic was that hardcore players would buy it regardless -- it's the kids they need to convince.
