Forums - Nintendo - What are the chances of Nintendo anouncing a new 2d metroid at E3?

If it goes to wii then it could fit in with all of the new 2d games being reborn on the wii. I really really really wished this happened. It would be my GOTY, and if it is as good as super metroid, probably the GOTY of many review sites. So what are the chances this will happen for the wii? For the ds?

pretty low...

I don't see them making a 2d metroid on the wii... but i think the chances of a new 2d metroid on the ds are about 60% (random number pulled out of my ass.)

I really wish they would do a 2d metroid with the wii mote pointer for directing the shots. That would be amazing. XD

Not very likely, but you never know.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

I would say that there is a very good chance that Nintendo could make a 2D metroid for the Nintendo DS, it is plausable that they might make one for Wii Ware, and it is pretty unlikely for one to be made for the Wii ...

I'd see something like this going to the DS more than anything. Maybe a DS player on the Wii perhaps? Wishful thinking.......

I'm guessing low. There hasn't even been a hint of something equal to the GBA Metroid games for the DS yet. Knowing Nintendo, though, they could definitely have a little surprise or two up their sleeve.

I loved Fusion and Zero Mission, though, so here's hoping...

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
