my cousin might purchase a wii and has a question about one thing

 he has a gamecube freeloader- will that still work on the wii for gamecube game? (im not saying for wii games) 

No. One of the updates locked it out.

I think the Wii can still do region free loading through one of the apps that comes with the homebrew channel, just make sure you get Twilight Princess to make sure you can install the homebrew channel.

After reading back over this though, I think it only works for Wii games, but I'm fairly confident that someone will eventually add a region free loader for gamecube games as well.

I'm pretty sure there's a vid out there showing how to play gamecube games from other regions on the Wii...
