PS3 fans are truly hilarious. They spent the whole two last years telling us Sony domination over the Wii and 360 would be arriving in about a year or so, and now they have the nerve to jump on starcraft for predicting 360 domination (over the PS3 only) in about two months?

I'm all for fierce discussion and calling people on things, but some of you guys are jumping way too much to conclusions here, and being asses while you're at it.

There IS massive speculation of a 360 price drop.

There is also no doubt that Microsoft is better positioned to provide one than Sony is.

 


People expected a $100 price cut for Chirstmas last year.  It did not happen.

A lot of people on this site guaranteed a US price cut for Xbox before GTAIV.  It did not happen.

I would love a huge price cut for the premium 360, and they desperately need a new SKU.

Any XBox pricecut will be followed by PS3 pricecut.  Every 360 exclusive game is countered by a PS3 exclusive game.   I see nothing that is a huge advantage for the 360 over the PS3.  Their US sales sould be about even for the rest of the year.

Fail. Ps3 started to sell good when sony slashed 1/3rd of the price bringing down the barrier of entry to 400$.
THAT was in OCTOBER, dumbass. Not Decemeber, AFTER Uncharted release.

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.


Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

In their minds 360 domination over the PS3 is impossible. Remember most of them think the PS3 and 360 will be about equal in WW sales by the end of the year. Therefore there is no way the 360 can do anything about it...it's fate!

You see I don't understand why some people say starcraft is a microsoft fanboy,even though he is accepting than the wii will still beat the 360 on sales.

Just answer this: when was the last time the 360 outsold the ps3 ww? then you'll understand.

More reasons: with all of us waiting for the MGS4 bundle, Ng2 which is a bigger game than too human did not beat the ps3, you think a 10 year old game will, that's delusionnal.

Just answer this: when was the last time the 360 outsold the ps3 ww? then you'll understand.

 

psrock , the fact is that 360 has the best lineup for the rest of the year (consols and handhelds)...
