Oh, FYI, you are forgeting R2. as "big exclusive"... let's not forget LBP and MotorStorm 2, not big sellers, but exclusive nevertheless... oh, and a little game called Socom.

Er?  Where did I say it didn't have any exclusives?  I said it doesn't have any exclusives even approaching MGS4's significance.

Resistance 2, like Gears 2, will have a very limited impact on hardware sales.  Most people that want those two games already own the required console.  Motorstorm one wasn't very good, 2 doesn't look like it will do anything to move the racer series out of the mediocre bandwidth.  LBP will be great, but its not going to go gangbusters like people think.

I disagree, sure it may have sold amazingly well on the ps2, but GT can only do so much.

The ps3 has tons of ip waiting, I just hope sony releases them all soon.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.

All the time? Yeah right. In March and April combined, the 360 only outsold the PS3 in America by 6,000 consoles. In May alone, the PS3 outsold the 360 in America by 22,100 consoles.

These games releasing later this year will be just as big as any 360 game with the exception of GOS II. Disgaea III, Yakuza III, Little Big Planet, Afrika (which could actually become a very explosive seller like some of the Wii's games if some non-gaming superstar like Ellen, Oprah, National Geographic gets behind this African Safari / wildlife picture taking game and says that it is one of the best experiences that they've ever had in their life), SOCOM: US Navy SEALS.

And what happens if Resistance 2 somehow manages to get review scores higher than or equal to those of GOS II?

saying the 360 will outsell the ps3 in NA is no big deal, now starcraft, if you care to expand the prediction ww, i'm back on board.
