Microsoft is thinking of releasing a handheld similar to the psp. That really pisses me off. Microsoft already has the 360 and it's selling well. Why must they release a handheld. It seems like they'll do anything to put sony sales down. If they do release something like the psp, they're ripping off sony and nintendo. What's next dvd hard drive similar to the blu-ray?here's the link of were i found out this information

They aren't even number 1 in the field of consoles and even in danger of losing P2 and they are considering a handheld? I simply don't believe it.

Boo! PSP wouldn't be able to handle direct handheld competition from microsft, and both would fail as they cannibilized each others sales with Nintendo laughing all the way to the bank. Leave my PSP alone!

Handhelds are worthless at playing games anyway, unless in a few special cases where you're a very bored passenger in a car or something.

no i'm not worried. If you really think about the first handhelds was the gameboy, gameboy color and so on. Sony relased the psp and in case you haven't notice it happens to be selling pretty well. The only reason microsft would release a portable to show their the best in everything gaming. Microsoft is a newbie to the gaming generation compared to the Sony and Nintendo. Sony and Nintendo are veterans while Microsoft is still training.

P.S. if xbox is so great why won't you tell me who won the console war last generation? oh yeah thats right Playstation 2 and who won the generation before? Answer: Nintendo. When microsft wins a console war, then you guys can tell me how great the 360 is. For now, Microsoft is a newbie in this generation trying to make a name for themselves by trying to put every console on the bottom until it reachs the top.

Sony's handheld is far from unsuccessful. The little device absolutely destroys in the Japanese market and it provides a nice alternative to the DS here. In the world of handhelds, some consider it a Yin to Nintendo's Yang. It's the other side of the spectrum, it's the PSP. Capable of playing music, video games and the so f-ing awesome UMD, this sucker came to the table loaded with possibilities upon its release several years ago. (/sarcasm)

While it is good at producing audio, it's not a good music player because it doesn't have local storage (except for flash memory slots). You can't keep your music there. It has a beautiful screen, but you can only get the video under the Universal Media Disc format. That format hasn't been successful.

On a game level, it has done well. But even there, it is mostly PlayStation 2 ports. There isn't much original content..
