I wonder if the numbers will be available before the big 3 press conferences.  I think MS will be on the 14th and Sony/Nintendo's conferences will be on the 15th.  Nintendo will probably pass MS in NPD's numbers and Sony will probably outsell MS by a substantial amount due to MGS4 .  It will be interesting to see how MS responds.  If MS is planning a price cut, they will probably need to do it before E3; otherwise, they will look a little desperate.

Isn't E3 12-14th?

If the NPD numbers are out on the 13th to 16th as usual, it will miss the press conferences, which normally come first.
