Hello!

I don't know if I'm breaking any rules, if yes I apologize for that.

For some time now I'm always curious about how good a game does in PC, considering the amount of PC's out there, how good did some games did? Games like Crysis, Bioshock, Unreal Tournament 3, etc....

It would be very nice to compare games that are release in the 3 plataforms, games that are release in just 2, games exclusive to PC, etc....

Wouldn't VgChartz consider to track PC games sells?

Thanks! :)

By the end of this generation in 2011 we will have:

18.890.000 + (174 x 120.000) = 39.770.000 for XBOX360
12.610.000 + (174 x 170.000) = 42.190.000 for PS3

Well, it isn't breaking a rule asking for ioi to track PC game sales, it has happened tons of times and I'm yet to see someone banned for it (there is always a first though ). However, don't get your hopes up, because there has been no mention of this actually happening that I am aware of.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

do PC-games sell still sell any normal copies? piracy is huge

...?

Due to digital distribution it would be hard to correctly track the real sale numbers of PC games, unless vgchartz had somehow access to Steam´s and co. data.

No, piracy is not a hindrance. It exists both on consoles and PCs alike. PC games´sales are heavily shifting more and more towards digital distribution and online gaming.

Anyways, Crysis had shipped a million back in February.  As said already, a large part of the market is in digital distribution, so it is impossible to get the numbers unless they release them.
