There's now way Gears will open with 3 million , i'm guessing some where in the region of 1mill-1.75 Milion.
It will definetley sell better than resistance but it won't reach more than 6 mill sales.
depending on tvspots and publicity resistance 2 will do better or worse in USA. The game has a lot of USA locations to advertise.
worldwide I expect something like 5 million to gears 2 and 3.5 million to resistance 2

It may not have an official price drop, but after a quick look at 5 retailers not one had it above $40.
I am thinking depending on the advertising Gears can outsell MGS4 overall and on first day sales.

These five retailers don't represent the worldwide status I presume. What I mean is that it si not a platinum or classic or whatever they call it. For example Haze, in its 3rd week can be found under 35 euros. Can you imagine a Gears of War bundle? Resistance, for the most of time was bundled with Motorstorm here in Europe. Thats what I meaned
Gears of War is bigger from Resistance , no one can denied that...
