I dont call those predictions. I think it's bullshit to throw numbers with such a broad range

1,635,000 - 2,935,000 (Gears 2 first week)

Obviously u will nail this "prediction".

R2 will sell more then Gears will the first week in Europe/japan. There are a lot of Europeans and Asians that still play RFOM.

I'm not gonna throw absolute numbers out there, but in relative terms, I think Gears will sell twice as much as R2 worldwide.



My Top 5:

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.

Yeah... Gears only sold 80k in Japan total... with a user base of 322k.

The install base is only 1.90x greater now.

Resistance sold 140k total with a user base of 0... The user base is 2mil x's greater now...

I dont see your logic there.

not sure if R2 will outsell Gears 2 in Europe.

Sure ps3 is strong in europe, but gears is very strong in europe too.

Just my thoughts.

yeah but do you think it will sell 1/4th of GeoW2's sales like the OP is suggesting? I dont. I can see R2 selling similair numbers.
